APRIL 2025

The lovely hug people brought in further donations in April, alongside a quiet but productive market at Criccieth.

Funds have been used to support a newly abandoned little family of dogs found near the shelter, providing help towards essential health care, and to go towards the Easter Appeal for food for the shelter cats and dogs

SUMMERTIME UPDATES

I needed a little break from markets in June and July due to illness (vertigo struck in a big way requiring hospital treatment) and a prior engagement singing with my choir at Abbey Road, which was amazing! August saw me back at Criccieth Craft Fair where I am delighted to say a further 75 Euros was raised for the shelter dogs. This was used to buy some good quality food for the golden oldies.

Autumn UPDATES

September and October markets were lovely, one quiet and one very lively! Storm Amy in October brought gusts of wind and twenty minutes before the market started we had a total electrical outage all over the area of Criccieth. Al to the rescue with his floodlights meant we could carry on regardless, we had lots of lovely visitors and raised 100 euros for the shelter dogs! This enabled Aurelia to purchase some further much needed food. As you can see in the photos, Sky (who is the Boss Cat) supervised everything of course!

NOVEMBER MARKETS AND ONLINE SALES

Christmas at Criccieth came in with a whisper, it was a very quiet market on November 1st. However, prior to this the online sales from my social media posts went really well, so I was able to send 80 Euros over to Aurelia! Nearly at £4,000 of donations since October 2022, I wonder if we will make it.... watch this space!

WE MADE IT! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Late November and December markets at Dinas and Criccieth meant a lovely flurry of sales and the £4,000 target met with £116 and £77 sent over to Aurelia! This makes my heart happy and swells the winter food that is much needed for the shelter animals, along with support for new abandoned dogs. Winter in Romania is bitterly cold with temperatures dropping into minus figures very quickly indeed. The animals at Beta's Land shelter do have the relative luxury of shelter and food, but it is not the same as a warm home in the company of humans... they are blessed to have Aurelia caring for them so diligently! For some, Beta's Land will remain their home, they may be disabled or traumatised by experiences with people, but here they are loved and know security living their lives in the way they want as Aurelia understands them and has their best interests at heart. Thank you for trusting in me and for allowing me to help, I am forever grateful.
