LARA'S LEGACY

Our furball of energy and joy has become a life force in the universe 💔 That waggy tail will eternally send out bursts of enthusiasm and excitement over the wonder of life....

Night night forever my whirly girly Lara. Sleep tight baby girl, no more pain now. Sadly a multitude of health problems hit you like a tsunami, we are grateful you didn't struggle for too long.

Found on the streets of Romania, the last survivor of your litter, we can only guess at the horrors you saw. We know your family were all killed by people, and that you ran, surviving for months by rummaging through rubbish. Bin day was always your favourite day, and the helicopter tail once again made it's appearance, as it did whenever you were excited about life, which was of course every day, even until the very last days.

You kept us all smiling with your optimism and your eternally happy outlook on life, knowing there would always be cuddles, kisses and rub rubs. You welcomed two new doggies and two new puss cats into your home, and showed them that the world could be a kind place. What a huge capacity for love and fun, always.

Until we meet again, my Romanian gypsy tea leaf tartlet, who loved roaming around, stealing other dogs toys, and playing with the boys.

Lara, our whirly girly

This fundraiser will support K-9 Angels spay and neuter campaign in September. It costs around €35-45 to spay a dog, and over the natural life of just one dog and subsequent litters, this can save literally thousands of lives!

Our Lara lived as a lone stray pup for much of the first seven months of her life, surviving by rummaging through bins. The rest of her family were killed on the streets. Lara could easily have been another sad statistic...

Thankfully she was rescued, and enjoyed over a decade of being in a safe and comfortable home, loving her life of beach, woodland and country walks, enjoying endless cuddles, and giving and receiving love in abundance.

It could all have been very different....

We can't rescue them all, we can't give every dog a loving home, but we can stop the endless cycle of misery as a stray on the streets.

Please help my little Lara to have her legacy if you possibly can? I've put amounts in my little online shop, ranging from £3 - £30. I know times are hard, however I'm hoping my friends who knew my girl can help, however small, as everything is very much appreciated.

LARA'S LEGACY UPDATE

Here are a few photos from the September Spay Campaign held at Beta's Land, taken by Aurelia whose words are also included in this update. This spay campaign is part of an ongoing programme held annually by the charity that Lara came from, and is a vital part of helping to control the animal population, both in terms of the stray feral animals and as a preventative measure for the animals with owners who cannot afford to get their pets spayed or neutered. It literally saves countless lives! Lara as an ex street dog lived a life others would dream of, a comfy bed, a warm home, plenty of food and humans who loved her so dearly. Here she has her legacy, saving lives beyond the realm. Always loved, my whirly girly x


During May 2026, the first anniversary of Lara's Legacy, I have sent £66 to K-9 Angels to support the next spay and neuter campaign. Always loved,my happiest girly Lara 🌈🐾🐾
