BECCI'S BEQUEST
Friends and followers will know that we lost our beloved Becci in October 2022.
We have so far given our girl a living legacy by providing £965 of aid via the UK charity K-9 Angels to her rescuer, sending food, funds for vet care and three large dog houses to keep out the worst of the winter weather. Further to this since her passing we have sent £3,132.63 directly to Aurelia who runs Beta's Land Shelter, making a running grand total of £4,097.63 (12.4.26)
This has helped specific cases such as little Rudi who was rescued from the same kill shelter as Becci, and pups Pic and Pic abandoned at the shelter in a cardboard box.

Reflections October 2023
One year on....When Becci passed, I felt I’d lost a huge part of myself. More than that. How can eight kilos feel like the weight of the world?
Now I imagine her everywhere. She is the sunlight, wind and rain, and the moon outside my window. She is stardust and, of course, the butterflies, and the meadow pipit we see and hear at her favourite beach.
I feel her with me, too. I carry her everywhere. She is love, memories, tears, and such a lot of laughter. How much does that weigh? So much more than eight kilos.
My grief is everywhere, but It feels like life. Through her, through Becci's Bequest, we have helped to feed, shelter and keep other dogs healthy and safe until they too can be adopted and know the warmth of a forever home. It's small, like her. But she achieved so much in her little life, and her legacy lives on.
It's like a pulse. Like a heart. Maybe hers, maybe mine. Beating stronger than ever
